ADA Testing (Door Pressure Testing)
This test measures the force with which is takes to open a door to ensure ADA compliance.
ASTM-E1105 Hydronic Penetration Testing
The ASTM E1105 is a water penetration test to assess potential water leakage on an item such as window, door, skylight, etc. The test is conducted with static air pressure applied at the outdoor face higher than the pressure at the indoor face.
ASTM-E783 Air Leakage Testing
ASTM E783 is a procedure to determine air leakage rates of installed windows and doors.
Blower Door Testing
During a blower door test, the fan pulls air out of the facility, lowering the air pressure inside. The higher outside air pressure then flows in through all unsealed gaps, cracks and openings such as gaps, cracks, or wiring penetrations. This ensures that all unwanted infiltration is addressed to make sure a facility has proper pressurization and air exchange for comfort, safety and energy savings.
Building Enclosure/Envelope Testing
The integrity of a building envelope is a major contributing factor to an efficient, cost-effective building energy management system. Building enclosure testing (BET) can reduce overall building heating and cooling costs, while eliminating moisture issues, improving thermal comfort and indoor air quality, and enhancing the building’s sustainability and durability. Integra tests each project’s building envelope system according to state energy code, ASHRAE 0-2005, & the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Guideline 3-2012 requirements.
Casing Leakage Testing
Built up or custom designed air handlers require testing to ensure the cabinet that houses the air is properly sealed. This ensures proper airflow from the equipment, and ensures proper operation of the air handling unit to comply with warranty requirements.
COVID-19 Airflow Survey
Increasing air changeover has been proven by the CDC to lower the risk of COVID-19 infections in a facility. We can help increase air changeover rates, while ensuring proper operation of your mechanical systems at the same time.
Indoor Air Quality Testing (IAQ)
Indoor air quality testing can detect potential volitile organic compounds, dangerous particulates, or specific hazards such as radon and mold. Indoor air quality testing helps keep occupants safe and can increase productivity.
Kitchen Hood Testing
Kitchen hood testing measures the effectiveness of a hood to contain heat, steam, vapors, obnoxious odors, smoke, and fumes emitted by the cooking equipment and to prevent condensation accumulation and drippage.
Sound Attenuation Testing
HVAC systems can produce unintended sounds that can shorten the life of HVAC equipment, irritate building occupants, and negatively affect productivity levels. In hospitals and laboratories, excessive noise can even compromise test results. Even the most efficiently designed HVAC systems can generate unnecessary noise if not balanced properly.
Thermal Imaging
Thermography measures surface temperatures by using infrared video and still cameras. These tools see light that is in the heat spectrum. Images on the video or film record the temperature variations of the building’s skin, ranging from white for warm regions to black for cooler areas. This testing ensures a tight building envelope for comfortable conditions, proper airflow/exchanges, pressurization, and energy savings.
Tunnel Airflow Testing
HVAC systems can produce unintended sounds that can shorten the life of HVAC equipment, irritate building occupants, and negatively affect productivity levels. In hospitals and laboratories, excessive noise can even compromise test results. Even the most efficiently designed HVAC systems can generate unnecessary noise if not balanced properly.
Vibration Testing
Vibration testing analyzes vibration patterns within mechanical systems or individual components and structures to identify defects and evaluate the test object’s overall condition. This can preemptively predict failures on a larger catastrophic scale, and ensure overall functionality of a piece of equipment or system.
